Let's Talk About Skin Types - Part One

So now, it's time to take a deep dive into the different skin types. We are all stuck with a different type of skin - from oily to dry and everything in between. And, I'll be the first to admit that some people are luckier than others! It's no lie that we can often have a complicated relationship with our skin. Some days it's glowing and others its breaking out or red and flaky. However, we're here to introduce you to the mantra that fixes all - the better we treat our skin, the better it treats us.

Before we get stuck in, it's important to note that also external factors including your environment, stress levels, hormones and diet are all at play when dealing with problem skin. We also need to consider problem ingredients. A lot of heavily marketed products add ingredients that improve your skin in the short term, but damage it in the long term. Check the back of your current products. Any alcohols, thick emollients, fragrance, abrasive scrubbing agents, or harsh drying and cleaning agents? These ingredients among others can trigger skin reactions or oil clogs - not great huh?

In saying this, having the right products for your skin is always pivotal in alleviating any concerns and, preventing these issues from returning. However, each and every skin type demands different nutrients to truly grow. Here at Frabella, we cover them all and we're about to tell you exactly what you need for your skin type.

Today we'll be tackling the big two: Oily and Dry skin.

Oily Skin

Let's be real - breakouts suck! But unfortunately, those of you with oily skin are particularly prone. They key with oil skin is to stay away from using heavy creamand turn your attention to lighter, oil free products.

Our Pure Face with Manuka soap is perfect for oily skin. Yes - it might include manuka oil but, it serves to draw out impurities as opposed to blocking your pores. The soap also rejuvenates your skin, leaving it fresh and vibrant!

The Beauty Milk Mask is also a great option, containing both bentonite clay and aloe vera. When combined with raw goat's milk, these ingredients work together to naturally exfoliate and detoxify your skin. It is also void of preservatives, GMO, palm oil and chemicals leaving your skin fresh in the long run!

Dry Skin

Moisture, moisture, MOISTURE! If you have dry skin, you'll already know that it needs to be moisturised day and night. And even then, that's often not enough hydration! A key rule here is to avoid products with sulfates and other dry chemicals that ultimately will further dry your skin out.

Once again, we have Manuka coming in to save the day with our Manuka and Honey Goats Milk Soap. You'll find no harsh chemicals here - only manuka oil and honey which work to soothe redness and inflammation. It also works to promote the regeneration of new skin making it ideal for dry skin types!

Dry skin can also lead to dead skin cells which means that exfoliation is your new best friend! The Lux Coffee Scrub is perfect for removing dead skin and it can be used over your whole body!

Whatever your skin type, Frabella can save the day and freshen your complexion! Stay tuned for our next instalment where we'll go over combination, normal and sensitive skin types!
